Daddy got to meet baby Lyla and visit cousin Mino, Uncle Bob, and Aunt Joy in San Diego.  Lyla is Maya's younger cousin (they are a week apart).

Maya went to Grandpa and Babcia Boyan's for a 

Memorial Day picnic.

Happy Mother's Day!

Despite the rainy, gray day, we had a wonderful 1st Mother's Day.  Maya woke with such a happy smile for mommy and was her usual cheery self the whole day.  We spent it at Grandma Glista's and enjoyed spending time with Babcia Boyan.  We hoped that everyone would see her new roll over trick - but she barely touched the ground all day - with everyone taking turns passing her around.  She is lucky to have so many people to love her!  I am lucky to have such a special sweetie for my first Mother's Day.

On Monday she went for her 4 month check-up.  The doctor said at her weight (17lbs 6oz, 27") she should be able to sleep through the night!  Maya is taking this into consideration, and managed to tough out a couple nights of 7+ and 8+ hour stretches this week.

To late to be officially included in the April BLOG... On May 1st , Maya mastered rolling over - fully clothed (bubble butt and all).  She must have been anxiously planning this skill in her sleep the past couple nights because she's been waking for a feed at 11:30, which she hasn't done for a while.  Now she rolls whenever we set her down.  Becky checked her own baby records from Babcia Boyan and she wasn't rolling from back to belly until 6 1/2 months.  Maya seems to be great with her large motor skills - but still can't manage more delicate tasks like landing her fingers in her mouth for more than a moment.

She also giggles when you tickle her belly.  Man is that cute!
