A Delightful Week

It's been such a delightful week.  I thoroughly enjoyed my only child and am happy that Maya and the Carrolls had a visit.  We could argue over who enjoyed which daughter most (between Grandma & I) ....but we won't!
Alas, as the clock struck 30 minutes past picking Jeff & Maya up from the airport, the coach turned back into a pumpkin (full of arguing siblings) heading back home.

By 8 o'clock, everyone was conked out (except for Jeff, who was out by 7).

We caught one!

Maya has been dying to catch a butterfly with her net.  Genna and I had some good luck this morning.  Can't wait to try it with you when you get home, Maya!

Only child

Mama: Where is Maya?
Genna:  PANE!  (plane)

Papa and Maya left for Phoenix today and will be there for one week.
Genna is enjoying only-child life so far.  (So is Mama).
After her super long nap, we tool a bike ride to the park; a 10 minute ride, which takes 30 minutes at 4-yr-old speed.

I hope everyone has a great week!

Easter Day

Genna is gaining so much vocabulary lately.  Although to most she probably sounds a lot like Porky Pig.
"Yeh-beh-deh, yeh-beh-duh, yeh-beh-duh, yeh-beh-duh, yeh-beh-duh"
This weekend she notably added:
CANDY
MONEY
KATIE: ok, this sounds a lot like CANDY
EDDIE

4 generations of color-ers!

A serious Hunter

Sizing up the competition.

Who won?

We only send our girls to the finest coaches in the midwest.

Don't even try to fall asleep, Papa!  It's only 5 o'clock.

Easter part 2

Dying 13 Eggs with little ones takes about 3 minutes.  They have no appreciation for the complexities of over-dying, wax resist, and WAITING for deeper colors.
