Maya turned 1 on January 12th! We had planned to celebrate with the family on the 11th, but the weather disagreed. She finally got her birthday party on the 18th. We had a great day! There were trucks, books, balloons, instruments, and POLKAS.
Maya was not too interested in the unwrapping (although at home she LOVES ripping and eating her way through papers and magazines???). Mommy helped her unwrap, and she was happy to play with her new goodies.
Aunt Geri MADE Maya a very special bear. At first Maya was stunned by its size, but upon realizing how cuddly and soft it was she repeatedly exclaimed "Oh!" - and passed him around the room for everyone to see.
