June 2008

Maya's Month of BIG PROGRESS!
Maya has learned so much this month.  She can do some really big pushups and is SO CLOSE to crawling!  She loves to blow raspberries, sit up, ride in the stroller, and hold a cup (which she neither tips nor sips, yet!)
Some nights she has slept up to 10 hours!  At the end of June she weighed 20 lbs!  Yikes - we may exceed the tripling of birthweight in 1 year.

Big Girl - Sits up so pretty!

Not too sure about cereal

Almost ready to crawl!

WAAAh - aah - ah - ah - ah
what a blabber mouth!
P.S.  do you have tickets to the gun show?

She can back herself into any corner of the room - but can't figure out "forward" yet.

More June Photos

Mommy's little helper?  Now that mom is done with school, we have more time for chores at home.

Stranger Danger Phase Already???    (Sorry Uncle Joe has to be the token "stranger") but Maya is beginning to tire of "pass the baby" and gets a little anxious when men (other than daddy) interact with her.

I LOVE MY KATIE!  I'm going to miss Katie watching me. Hope Mama lets us play this summer!

I love sucking on a cold cup of water! (cup: yummy... water: not so much!)

There were too many mosquitoes to hike in the woods at Yankee Springs so we just went to the beach at Gun Lake.

Happy Father's Day

Dah dah dah dah blah blah blah blah ah ah ah ah
means...Maya Loves her daddy

Maitreya's face lights up when daddy gets home to play with her.  They have so much fun rough-housing and snuggling.  Jeff thinks its important for her to learn about falling down, smelling things, getting dirty and building her resistance to germs!  Imagine how many times she'll hear... "if you were in India".... during her lifetime.  She happily listens with interest when he is chattering away about some financial theory (unlike mommy).  It is so fun watching the two of them.

For Father's Day we went to the Farm and Maya got to meet Magoady (sp?) the calf, which was not half as interesting as feeling the blustery wind in her face.
