Maya's Surprise

On Friday night at bedtime, Maya told me she had a surprise for the morning.  She wanted to wake up first to do it.  I ended up waking up first (and left the house at 6:00 for the grocery store).  I returned just as she was serving breakfast to Papa.  He woke up as she was using the microwave.  Since she can't reach the dishes, she made oatmeal in tupperwear containers for everyone.  Genna woke up last and got the biggest bowl (which she finished all by herself).

 The mermaids hit Ramona Park, on Long Lake in Portage

We have a new sticker chart going.  50 stickers to get a trip to the donut shop.  It is a joint effort for both girls.  One sticker can be earned for taking a nap.  Maya is doing some sentences for one here.

End of the School Year

The children in our class each designed a quilt square which I pieced together for Mrs. Kreg's teacher gift.  Maya's square was "Cinderella" on the bottom left.  The class gave it to her at the "Celebration Tea" party which was part Mother's/Father's Day and part graduation.  The kids sang EVERY song they learned the WHOLE year!

Maya's favorite song was the
"Tootie Tat"
ask her to sing it next time you see her.





There were also lots of crafts to do with the Big People.  As you can see it was a classy dress-up event.

Quick, rain dance, naked in the driveway is ~OK~.  But when the party moved to the curb to build dams, Papa could have thought to dress them. !?!?!?!
