Genna's Progress Report

Genna had her 18 month check up last week.  She is getting to be so big!  Here are all the big-girl things she can do now.

She...

  • is 25 lbs.
  • can put her socks and pants on herself.
  • prefers to drink out of a cup with no lid.
  • has gone pee pee on the potty a few times.
  • is finally gaining new vocabulary... like "NO!"
  • can roll her eyes at her parents.  How mature!
  • can walk down the stairs by herself.... without holding on to the rail.
  • requires less sleep.  Only naps half the days now and wakes up at 6.  Resting is for Babies.

Here is how the Carroll family used its extra hour on Daylight Savings day.

  • Maya used an extra hour to procrastinate cleaning up.
  • Papa took an extra nap (for a total of 2)
  • Mama used the extra hour re-baby proofing Genna's room because......
  • Genna used the extra time to figure out climbing out of her crib.
So Mama will use her extra hour on Monday to sew a new bigger sleep sack.  Oh wait, there is no extra hour today.  Darn.

P.S.  as it turned out there WAS an extra hour on Monday.  Genna woke me up at 5:30 - so I had plenty of time to make that sleep sack before everyone else was up!  Yay!
