Is this month over yet?

Seems like there's been a bit of a hiatus from updates here..... I guess it hasn't been that long, just feels like this month is dragging on.  Sleep deprivation is definitely to blame.

Exhibit A: a very large diaper order, finally finished & delivered TODAY.  Whew!  Now onto another one, although happily smaller.  (Insert "SHOUT OUT" to Jeff - thanks for the serger!!! It's just what I always wanted!!!!  It is truly awesome folks.........now to get it out of  Genna's room so I can use it when she's sleeping.)

Exhibit B: Maya has been tiring for the last 8 months!  Nothing new here.  Except that she has gone back to napping (lucky her!.... ok, lucky ME, too).  Starting on her birthday she has been napping at least half of the days since!  Being 3 is hard work.

Exhibit C: Genna started the month with a stint of unconsolable crying for 30-90 minutes at bedtime.  Fortunately that only lasted about 10 days..... (seemed longer).  You can find this photo in the dictionary under the listing for "stick-straight"... as in, her hair.  Sorry, awful photo.

This is the Carroll Family a la nieve.  Maya's, of course, has a dress.

Sto lat

Happy 3rd Birthday Maya!!!

I've been compelled to look up the spelling & meaning of our Polish Birthday tune.  Here's what I gleaned from wikipedia!  (Sad commentary - I should have "grandma'd" this instead of "googling" it.)

Sto lat, sto lat,
Niech żyje, żyje nam.
Sto lat, sto lat,
Niech żyje, żyje nam,
Jeszcze raz, jeszcze raz, niech żyje, żyje nam,
Niech żyje nam!
This translates roughly into English as:
A hundred years, a hundred years,
May he (she) live for us.
A hundred years, a hundred years,
May he live for us.
Once again, once again, may he live, live for us,
May he live for us!

Go Genna!

Yay Genna, finally can crawl!
We were about to call in the PT squad.

On the other hand.... boo for sewing :(
Recently I've been banished from the upstairs (rightfully so).  I mean, really, the sewing machine was on the kitchen table..... taking up 2 places.  It was ridiculous.  My next move was downstairs to the playroom area.  This only works if I can sew while Genna is sleeping in the next room.  I haven't been too willing to try because she's been sleeping awfully this month.  I was able to sew while the girls were playing in there with me this week until THIS.  Crawling means she can get into all my stuff, anywhere.  Are there any neat crafters out there who don't spread projects all over while in progress?  I am not one of them.  I guess I'll have to try to be more organized AND not wake her up with the hum of the machine..... or bump bump bump... as it currently goes......  DO not try to use a sewing machine on a folding card table on plush carpet.  NOT STURDY.
Fortunately I am working on a lot of snap press projects currently and can do that upstairs.

Evolution of a 'stache

In the Blogosphere, this is what they call "Wordless Wednesday"
Uh - yeah, we'll just leave it at that.
